We heartily recommend these alternative places to stay should Lazyday Cottages be booked up. Boathouse Cottage on the River Tweed has stunning views both down and up the river. Nisbet House in Leitholm is an excellent B&B. The Wheatsheaf Restaurant recommended in 'places to eat' offers all the comforts of a small hotel while further up the River Tweed near Walkerburn Windlestraw Lodge offers excellent food and accommodation in a beautiful setting right next to Glentress Forest. If you want to experience the Cheviot Hills then there is no better place than Hethpool House B&B located in the outstanding College Valley.
